PROJECTS
Sydney's Taronga Zoo has a new conservation centre of excellence, the Taronga Institute of Science and Learning. My team set ourselves the challenge of designing key Institute webpages for teachers, the public and scientists. We did user research, expert interviews and created user personas. The clickable prototypes we developed give users a tantalising glimpse of this new facility.

For an early stage startup, we created a prototype dashboard that allowed a homeowner to take control of the sale of their property. We conducted user research and developed a user journey, then turned sketches into a dashboard prototype, which we tested. The business was thrilled with the result.

As a side-project, I conducted a heuristic evaluation of the website of the Teachers Registration Board Tasmania, the regulator of the teaching profession for schools and TAFE colleges in Tasmania. This site is used by the state’s 11,000+ teachers, 1,000+ trainee teachers, and 200+ schools and universities to find information and access the TRB Online portal.

I designed a mobile-first e-commerce website for a magical hardware store, based on the Harry Potter series. With research findings and user personas provided by fictional business owners, I mapped user flows and designed a clickable prototype in Axure. Testing with real users improved the design's usability for searching and buying hardware products.
